These terms govern your use of Immigranta, an AI assistant that helps people understand UK immigration rules. By creating an account or using the chat, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. About Immigranta
Immigranta is operated by Ruach Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales. We provide a chat-based interface that returns answers grounded in the published UK Immigration Rules and GOV.UK guidance, with citations to the source paragraph.
2. Not legal advice
This is the most important section. Read it.
Immigranta is an information tool. It is not a solicitor, barrister, or regulated immigration advisor. We are not authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and we are not registered with the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA, formerly OISC). The answers Immigranta gives you are information about the rules, not legal advice tailored to your personal situation, and they do not create a solicitor-client or advisor-client relationship.
For anything that affects a real application, deadline, appeal, or status, you should consult an SRA-regulated immigration solicitor or an IAA-registered advisor. The UK government's directory is a good starting point.
3. Sources and accuracy
Every substantive answer Immigranta gives is cited to a paragraph in the Immigration Rules, a GOV.UK guidance page, or a similar official source. We strongly encourage you to click through and verify. The rules change frequently and we may take time to reflect the very latest changes.
If Immigranta doesn't know the answer, or the rules are genuinely ambiguous, it should tell you that. It's designed to prefer "I'm not sure" over confident speculation.
4. Eligibility and account
- You must be 16 or older to use Immigranta.
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for activity on your account.
- You agree to give accurate information when signing up and to keep it up to date.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Immigranta to break the law, defraud anyone, or facilitate immigration offences.
- Submit other people's personal data without a lawful basis, or attempt to extract personal data about other Immigranta users.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to circumvent the security or rate limits of the service, including by automated scraping at scale.
- Resell access to Immigranta, or use the answers as the basis for paid legal advice you deliver to others.
- Try to extract or reverse-engineer the underlying AI models, prompts, or training data.
6. Your content
You keep the rights to whatever you type into the chat. By using the service you grant us a narrow licence to process your messages so we can return an answer, store your history, and operate the product. We don't use your conversations to train AI models — see our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Our content
The Immigranta brand, the site, the underlying software, and the way answers are summarised and presented are owned by Ruach Technologies Ltd or our licensors. You can quote answers and share screenshots for personal or non-commercial use. For anything broader, get in touch.
The Immigration Rules and GOV.UK content we cite belong to the Crown and are reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Immigranta available, but we don't promise specific uptime or response times. We may change features, suspend the service for maintenance, or retire it entirely with reasonable notice.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
Subject to the above, Immigranta is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, or losses arising from your reliance on an Immigranta answer in place of professional advice. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100.
10. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time from the app or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that materially or repeatedly breaches these terms, or where we're required to by law. We'll give you reasonable notice unless an immediate suspension is needed to protect the service or other users.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be flagged in the app and emailed to you in advance where we have your email. Continuing to use Immigranta after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking to us first will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
